A genuine vintage framed French botanical school print depicting the Suillus luteusmushroom, a basidiomycete fungus, and the type species of the genus Suillus. It is a common fungus indigenous to coniferous forests of Eurasia and North America, and introduced to southern Australia and New Zealand.
This print was used in French schools and was part of a boxset of vintage prints which were used in the biology lessons.On the back of the print there is a full explanation and description of the illustrated mushrooms in French. This handmade plate was screen-printed in 1963 and we have one in stock.
